Abstract
Stable rice genotype is necessary for long-term grain yield security to the farmers. Developing site specific promising line is a good way of maintaining diversity and getting potential yield, therefore this investigation aimed to study the stability for grain yield among twelve rice varieties and identify the best stable variety to different environmental conditions. Stability parameters were assessed for twelve rice populations under normal and water stress conditions for two summer seasons of 2021 and 2022 at Research Farm of Sakha Research Station, Kafr Elsheikh, Egypt. Stability analysis of variance revealed highly significant of genotypes, environments and G x E “linear” for all the studied characters, demonstrating how the various rice kinds react to various conditions. The most promising genotypes were PL–77-8-17 and PL–77-8-19 are the site-specific genotypes adapted to water stress conditions
