Abstract

Six and nine wheat sllipe rust (Puccini8 striiformis lriticiWest.) pathotypes
viz. OEO, OE64, 142E182, 166E148, 230E150, 166E146 and OEO, OE64, ~EO, 2E128,
4E2, 6El34, 132E2, 228E20, 230El5Q were identified during 2<><¥>l2oo1 and
200112002. respectively. Races OED, 0E604 and 230E150 were comm9~ during the
two seasons. However, race OEO was the more frequent one foUoweCl by OE64,
        142E182 and 166E148.                                                                                  I
The obtained results gave evidence to the superiority and distin . 'on of Yt's:
10 and CV which were the best dumQ 200112002 since no virulence wer~lrecorded to
them. It is recommended to incorporate such genes within new released varieties
andlor lines to enhance and increase resistance to stripe rust in the w 1 at breeding
program in Egypt.
