Abstract

Five Zygophy/lum spp < /em>. representing five different localities (habitats) in South Sinai
were comparatively studied from ecophysiological and genetical points of view. The
obtained results demonstrated that under ecological conditions prevail the south em
Sinai (drought ) the physiological responses and genetic varients of the Zygophy/lum
spp.
under study are very coincided with such conditions. However, the studied
species display slightly variations in their physiological and genetlc characteristics due
to the role of ecotypiflCation of these species In their various habitats.
