Abstract
Hanctweediog and hefbicidal treatments. l.e., brominal. arelon and grasp reduced significantly weed growth compared to the unwooded control. ElimlnaUon of weeds by hanctwee<ling or applled hertl4cldes Increa5ed planl height, number o( tillers, shoot fresh end dry weights of wheat plant as compared to the unwsecec chick. Pbotosynthetic pigments ware increased by most treatments ...mile, grasp decreased chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll.
Wheat leaT thickness at the midrib, maln vascular bundle dlmenslons. stem diameter and ground tissue thickness were increased by handwaed\r.o and all herbicidal treatments.
Wheat grain yield and Its components as well as crude protein percentage were InC/eased due to aU treatments compared to the unweeded control. However. brominel and arelon as well as handweedlng were more effective In this respect.
